4 “Nothings” that changed my life

Once again I’m joining Lisa Jo Baker for 5 Minutes Fridays.

This is the place where once a week we take the chance to just write, and not worry if it’s just right or not.

For five minutes flat.

Here’s how the game works: you simply stop, drop and write. Set your words free. Don’t edit them, don’t fret over them, don’t try to make them perfect.

Today’s Prompt is “nothing”:

Go

Nothing

4 Nothings that have changed my life and my thinking are in the ones God has promised. I know He never fails to His promises. His promises are yes and amen. He’s faithful, and if there’s anyone who ALWAYS does what He promise, it’s Him.

1.- Nothing I can do, can make him love me more or less.

Nothing I can do will make Him love me more or less (that’s what I call freedom). His love remains the same. His love never changes .  It doesn’t matter how stubborn, silly or clumsy I might be, He loves me the same.

He does not treat us as our sins deserve.- Psalm 103:10

2.- Nothing and No one can ever separate me from His love

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? – Romans 8:35 NLT

3.- And as a result of the two mentioned above, I have nothing to fear. Whatever might come my way, I have nothing to fear. My destiny, my future is in His hands. He has my interests at heart.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. -Isaiah 41:10 NIV

4.- I will lack Nothing: Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. Psalm 34: 9 NIV

  1. Oh Angie, what a great post. I really needed these words today. I’m heading back to work today after my maternity leave has ended and I want so badly to be home. But it is so good to be reminded I have nothing to *fear* and that I don’t lack for anything, even if I do have to work for it.

    • Thanks for stopping by, Kirsten. I’m really happy to hear these words blessed your life. I can imagine how you’re feeling, it’s a tough feeling 😦 You’re in my prayers today! God loves you and care for you and your little one 🙂 You’re in good hands xx

  2. Romans 8:35 seems to be quite the theme this fine morning! I loved your post and One Thing Remains is one of my all time favorites! Thank you for your encouragement this day.
    Blessings,
    Andrea

    • Thanks Melissa! Isaiah 41:10 is one of my very favorite Bible verses. Beautiful promise we can hold onto when facing ANYTHING. Have a beautiful weekend! stay blessed 😉

  3. One of my favorite parts of FMF is both how similar other writers share the same thoughts, but how differently we express them, and how different directions writers go using the same word. Your words are exactly where my heart is today. These truths you expressed keep me going in the times that are difficult. Have a blessed Friday.

    • That’s true Debbie. The way God reveals His word to each of us, and how we apply it to our lives can be so different, yet the essence and principles are the same. His word never changes. Glad to hear I blessed your life with my thoughts. Have an amazing weekend, remain blessed x

  4. Such true and beautiful words! To write such in five minutes means it is truly an expression of your heart–love.
